That's My Boy stars Adam Sandler where he is this very outgoing and obnoxious guy. The more stupid he acts the more women he attracts, and the more men want to be him. Adam Sandler is pretty popular in Hollywood and has a lot of fans that follow him. The problem is, is that his fans don't follow far. Sandler has had many great movies that bring in a lot of money at the box office, but this is not one of them. In this movie Sandler went out of his comfort zone and his fans didn't follow. He is very good at certain roles but when he does one that is far from his grounds nobody really cares for it and it turns out a fail. I have never seen this movie but would like to to see if what everybody else thinks and is saying about it is true.

Journal 5: Transformers round 4
Transformers started just as a cartoon with a few kid action figures and now has turned into a huge hit. With all the movies put out, Transformers has been very successful. The director, Michael Bay, had said that there will be some new cast members in this upcoming film, one of which is Mark Wahlberg. If you are unfamiliar with him he is in many different kinds of movies. A few include: Shooter, The Fighter, The Departed, Contraband, The Other Guys, and his newest film, Ted. Bay explains how he thinks Wahlberg has been in multiple action films and that he would fit the part well. From my own opinion, I agree. I've seen his acting in some of these films listed and think he would do very well in the new Transformers movie. I have also seen the three previous Transformers movies and like them a great deal. If you too are a Transformers fan I recommend that you see this film when it comes out, June 27, 2014. I'm sure it will be just as mind-blowing as the others.

Journal 4- Star Wars Franchise Sold!
Just a few days ago, Disney bought out Lucasfilm for $4 billion. Adding to there large collection the Star Wars franchise. George Lucas the creator of Lucasfilm never really wanted to grow the company. He was never a part of Hollywood and would leave as soon as he had a hit. This was what seemed to be the only exit strategy and way out of the company. He is very happy to have sold it to Disney. The only thing is where does it go from here? He's not really sure how Disney will handle Star Wars and any re-creations of the episodes. There is a plan on releasing Star Wars Episode VII in the year 2015. Nobody will know how Disney will do with the making but I guess the only thing is to wait and find out.

Journal 3: Your vote counts!
2012 Election
As much as you may hate the repetitive political commercials like everybody does, this years Presidential election is just as important as any other. The United States of America needs a strong leader that will help us get out of this slump we call a recession. As many people get into the election and have strong opinions about which plan will benefit them the most, there are always people that are torn between the two, or people that just have no idea who they want to help aid with their vote. Personally, I didn't really get into the campaign and know much of anything either of the candidates wanted to do if they got to office, until I watched a couple of the debates. I found them quite interesting and helpful. Everybody has their own opinion about who they want and I'm fine with them sharing that. But what gets annoying is when they constantly express their opinion about it and even get into arguments over it. I think everybody is entitled to their own opinion and can share if they so choose to, but respect others opinions. Its not worth arguing over. If you know who you want in office then do your part and go vote and leave it at that. The election is just around the corner so if you don't know who you think deserves a chance then brush up on the material and I encourage everyone that is able to to vote. America deserves a great leader, you choose...

Journal 1: Winning actually isn't the only thing.
"Winning actually isn't the only thing." -David Maraniss, http://www.heraldnet.com/article/20120926/SPORTS/709269933/1004
David Maraniss talked about the football game the Packers
played against the Seahawks, and brought up a good argument. He talked about
how angry he was about the poor call by the refs at the end of the game that
gave the Seahawks the lead and to win the game. He mentioned how he had been so
upset that he couldn’t sleep and couldn’t calm down for about 12 hours. It got
him all worked up, but then he finally told himself it’s just a game. He asked
himself if winning the game is everything. David then thought about Russell Wilson,
the Seahawks quarterback, and also Pete Carroll, the Seahawks head coach, and
how they reacted after the game and what they said during their interviews. How
Pete Carroll was running around and jumping with joy after the call was made.
As if the call was right that they scored and deserved those points. Then when
being interviewed he said how it was a “tough call” when there was nothing
tough about it. He eventually then tells how they shouldn’t act like they won
and be happy and excited about it and that he would much rather have a bad call
called on his team and deal with being angry and upset with the call then have
it a be a terrible call in your favor. Going to sleep with that on your mind
would be so much worse.
I agree with
everything that David talks about. How it was a terrible call and that the
coaches and players on the Seahawks team shouldn’t be happy with this win
knowing it was a terrible call. Also how he would rather have it this way then
be the Seahawks team and have a bad feeling cause if was the wrong call. Plus, winning actually isn't the only thing.
